Gibberman Dental is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Yasmin Shahkarami to our dental family! After successfully managing and delivering comprehensive dental care as a solo practitioner in a family dental office in Maryland, we are thrilled that she will be joining our practice where she can expand and compliment the services, we presently offer at Gibberman Dental.
Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Shahkarami graduated cum laude from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Medical Spanish. She then went on to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she graduated magna cum laude and received a multitude of honors and awards, including being elected to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society.
She continued her training at the Richmond VA Medical Center where she managed and provided care to medically complex veterans, receiving advanced training in oral surgery, implant placement, surgical and non-surgical periodontal care, dentures and other restorative services such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
Dr. Shahkarami is Invisalign certified and has advanced training in IV and oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Shahkarami communicates with empathy and warmth to effectively partner with her patients to gently provide beautiful healthy smiles that last a lifetime.
In her free time, Dr. Shahkarami loves running, hiking, baking, and spending time with her family. As a native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Shahkarami is thrilled to be back home and serving the community at Gibberman Dental.
